Diosdado Cabello asks to consolidate a “defense block” against “threats”

Cabello: "A tun tun operation is coming for those who donated money to Ya casi Venezuela"

Cabello expressed that in 2025 the military and police organizations will “attack at the root any organized crime gang that ends up being used by fascism.”

The Minister of the Interior and Justice of Venezuela, Diosdado Cabello, made this Sunday a call to the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB) and the different security forces to consolidate the “great block of defense of peace” that represents, he assured, the “popular-military-police fusion”, in the face of the “threats” against the country, reported EFE.

«Whoever tries to mess with Venezuela is going to pay dearly. “They will be able to enter if they want to, their problem will be leaving this land,” he said in an event broadcast on the state channel VTV.

He indicated that Venezuela today has 20,000 officials trained in “special forces actions” who are deployed throughout “the entire national territory” and “equipped with the best weapons for the defense of the homeland.”

“There are many threats that are made against our country every day from different parts of the world, by internal enemies and external enemies,” Cabello said.

Likewise, he expressed that, in the year 2025, the military and police organizations will “attack at the root any organized crime gang that ends up being used by fascism.”

«(These are) precise instructions from brother President Nicolás Maduro, (…) who, in addition to being president in office, is president-elect, and on January 10, God willing, so it will be, he will take possession of the position of (…) constitutional president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela for the next six years,” added the second of the ruling United Socialist Party (PSUV).

The head of state has insisted that on January 10 – the date established in the Constitution for the presidential investiture – he will go to the National Assembly (AN), controlled by Chavismo, to be sworn in as re-elected president for a third consecutive six-year term.

Maduro was proclaimed the winner of the presidential elections on July 28 by the National Electoral Council (CNE) based on results that are still unknown in a breakdown, after which the majority opposition denounced fraud and claimed the “victory” of his candidate, Edmundo González Urrutia, who is seeking asylum in Spain.

Since then, the country has been experiencing a crisis that, according to the largest opposition coalition – the Democratic Unitary Platform (PUD) – and various non-governmental organizations, is marked by a “persecution” against anti-Chavista leaders and activists and by the largest number of “prisoners.” politicians known in Venezuela, at least, in the 21st century,” as denounced by the NGO Foro Penal.
