DINTEL dismantles alleged electronic crime network

DINTEL desmantela presunta red de delitos electrónicos

The Cibao Central Intelligence Regional Subdirectorate (LINTEL), in coordination with the Public Ministry and with the support of members of the SWAT team and the Preventive Police, carried out several raids in this province, achieving dismantle an alleged network dedicated to cybercrimeas well as the occupation of weapons and other illicit objects.

The first operation was carried out in compliance with court order No. 2025-AJ0084529, in a residence located in the Cienfuegos sector, where three people were detained.

During the raid, the authorities occupied 11 cell phones, four laptops, a keyboard, 123 SIM cards different telephone companies, a hookah and a knife, objects that were allegedly used to commit electronic crimes through the web.

In a second raid, carried out by court order No. 2025-AJ0084527, in the Villa Vista sector, a blank pistol with air tanka rifle trigger guard and three bladed weapons, consisting of a knife and two machetes. The owner of the home was not present at the time of the search, which was carried out in the presence of a family member.

All the occupied objects were taken into custody of the Public Ministry, while the detainees will be placed at the disposal of justice in the next few hours, for the corresponding legal purposes.
