Dinoska Montalvo de RM: “We do not have the need to seek, through an election, more power for Ricardo Martinelli”

The lawyer Dinoska Montalvo, who serves as Undersecretary of Economy in the Realizing Goals party, denounced this Wednesday a series of irregularities that arose on Sunday in the internal elections to choose her authorities from the Secretariats of Women and Youth.

According to the lawyer, there are inconsistencies in the form and manner in which the party’s National Elections Commission carried out these elections.

“Unfortunately, the person who chairs the party’s National Elections Commission had interests in this election; her son and a close collaborator of hers ran, and in the end, it was decided that they themselves were going to coordinate everything, they made the agreement with the Court Electoral and in the end it remains in control and they become judge and jury, and this does not provide any type of transparency,” he said.

He asserted that “we are not willing to return to practices of other parties and we are not going to accept here whoever she decides, that is the bad habit of that lady”, this, referring to the former minister Alma Cortés, who currently chairs the Commission National Elections of RM.

It should be noted that the RM collective has proposed holding another election that could extend Martinelli’s criminal electoral jurisdiction, and in turn would allow him to avoid the hearing for the New Business case, scheduled for May 19.

In that same sense, Montalvo declared: “We do not have, at this moment, the need to seek through an election, to seek more jurisdiction for Mr. Ricardo, that is false. It is not this election that is being used to get Mr. him any kind of jurisdiction or the situations that are taking place”.
