Diario Las Amércas published an “Otálvora Report” stating that the member of the AN-2015 had assumed the functions previously exercised by Juan Guaidó, by agreement with the United States. A statement similar to the one Jorge Rodríguez had given had commented days ago. But the member of Primero Justicia denied the claim, although she deleted a tweet where she said so bluntly
The president of the National Assembly elected in 2015, Dinorah Figuera, published a tweet on Saturday May 20 to deny versions that have circulated on social networks about her supposed appointment as interim president after having assumed the position of head of that opposition parliament that previously occupied by Juan Guaidó.
Figuera wrote in his trill that “in the face of the new wave of misinformation I tell everyone, I am NOT interim president and I am committed to holding fair and transparent elections in Venezuela to elect a new President and give a structural change so that we can get the country out forward”.
Nevertheless, the tweet disappeared from his account on the social network minutes later. The member of Primero Justicia then published one that says that “we assume the culmination of the Interim Government and the proposal to be president of parliament 2023, with three objectives 1. Preservation of assets 2. Accompaniment to the electoral route and 3. The defense of the Human Rights». She continued stating that “we are fighting to follow an electoral path that leads us to a structural change in the country, where there is a democratic government and with freedoms for the benefit of the people.”
In this way, he ratified a position that he had already expressed to the Venezuelan verification and factchecking portal. Espaja.com to which he declared that “we made the decision to end the interim government to give direction to the fight and accompaniment to preserve the assets and the electoral path. It was done by voting on December 30, with 72 votes in favor. It is not planned to return to that scheme ».
However, in Newspaper Las Americas An “Otálvora Report” was published this Saturday, May 20 which affirms that “the US Department of State is organizing an agenda of working meetings with the new “government” of Venezuela headed by Dinorah Figuera. The meetings would take place in the coming weeks without the place being defined yet, considering Madrid or Washington as possible places, for what would be the official confirmation of the recognition by the US of a new “provisional government”. In this way, the doctor and parliamentarian Dinorah Figuera, 62 years old and currently living as a political refugee in Spain, is becoming the first woman President of Venezuela based on the same constitutional interpretation that supported the interim Juan Guaidó» .
Already Domingo Salgado, who identifies himself as a magistrate of the Supreme Court of Justice in exile, had denied Espaja.com that the meeting that Jorge Rodríguez referred to has taken place.
