The president’s eldest son Dina BoluarteDavid Eduardo Gómez Boluarte, was appointed as third secretary of the diplomatic service of the Permanent Representation of Peru to the United Nations (UN) based in New York (United States). The position was announced through a ministerial resolution, dated November 27, from the Foreign Relations portfolio.
According to this document, signed by Elmer Schialer, the dates on which diplomatic officials must assume functions have not yet been defined. Once this is defined, through a vice-ministerial resolution, the professionals will assume their duties and the expenses will be covered by the budget statement of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

David Boluarte and his path as a diplomat
Regarding David Gómez Boluarte, the young man studied at the Pérez de Cuellar Diplomatic Academy of Peru, where he graduated in 2022. On that occasion, he participated in the closing of the year along with his classmates from class No. 60, called Ambassador José Manuel Domingo Boza Orozco. In the company of the first president and the then head of Foreign Relations, Ana Cecilia Gervasi, those appointed began their work in the Diplomatic Service of the Republic.
On March 29, 2021, through a ministerial resolution published in El Peruano, when the Castillo-Boluarte formula had not yet reached the presidency, Gómez Boluarte was incorporated into the first year of studies at the Diplomatic Academy. The son of the now president obtained one of the highest scores. He was listed twelfth out of a total of 25 places.
More than a year later, on December 19, 2022, supreme resolution No. 168-2022-RE made official the registration of Gomez Boluarte to the Diplomatic Service in the category of third secretary, in accordance with the fourth article of the regulations, to start working in the Foreign Ministry.
