Nine days after beginning his government, the President Dina Boluarte will give his first television interview to a national medium this Sunday, December 18. This was announced by the dominicial “Fourth power” on their social networks.
The program hosted by the journalist Sol Carreño will have the visit of the Head of State, in an interview that takes place in the midst of the political crisis that the country is going through and that has already left the figure of 20 deaths.
This Saturday the 17th, Boluarte gave a press conference together with his ministers in which he criticized the fact that the project to advance the elections had only obtained 49 votes in favor in plenary session and, therefore, was rejected.
“83% of the population wants early elections. So, congressmen, do not look for excuses not to advance the elections. Do not abstain from voting. Vote directly facing the interior of the country. Do not hide behind an abstention”, said the President of the Republic.
He also assured that he would not resign from the presidency and that he would remain until Congress “solves the early elections.” “There is a group that says ‘Let Dina resign’, what is resolved with a resignation?” She pointed out.
