The President of the Republic, Dina Boluartereaffirmed its commitment to the development of all regions of the country and said that its management will continue “working tirelessly until the last minute in 2026”.
From Abancay, where he participated in the placement of the first stone of a new penitentiary establishment, Boluarte emphasized the importance of decentralizing public investment and not forgetting regions such as Apurímac.
“We will continue to bet, from the Government, through all the regions of Peru, (…) as our region (Apurímac) that was always forgotten by all former presidents and looked at us as a region that does not need to develop. I could not continue with that look, ”said the president.
In that sense, he highlighted the construction of hospitals in Abancay as part of their policy to strengthen access to health in the region and improve the quality of life of Apurimeña families.
Boluarte stressed that his government is promoting the execution of projects that were paralyzed for years. As he mentioned, the Comptroller has identified more than 2,000 works locked in previous efforts: “Therefore, from Abancay I tell the comptroller and the president of the Judiciary, gather and make a work table to unlock those more than 2,000 projects and deliver them to the entire Peru ”.
On the construction of the new prison in Abancay, the head of state explained that the work will demand an investment of S/ 116 million and will have 702 hostel units, of which 84 will be destined for women.
