During her presentation, the president reiterated her “commitment to protecting life” and assured that she was one step ahead of crime despite the wave of violence experienced in various parts of the country.

”In this session we will address issues of utmost importance to firmly confront crime and delinquency, strengthen strategies against organized crime and support each action of our Police, hand in hand with the law,” added Boluarte.

After greeting journalists for their day, President Dina Boluarte traveled to Chiclayo where she will lead the Third Session of the National Citizen Security Council, in which strategies and progress against organized crime throughout Peru will be coordinated.
And although it is usual for him to avoid the press, it is not ruled out that on Journalist’s Day he will agree to answer the questions of the men and women of the press who will attend the activities.
The National Citizen Security Council (CONASEC) has the mission of formulating, conducting and evaluating citizen security policies at the national level, with the active participation of State agencies, local governments and the organized community in order to guarantee full exercise of the rights enshrined in the Political Constitution of Peru, as well as peaceful coexistence.
The president of the Council of Ministers, Gustavo Adrianzén, will also be present at the meeting.
