The president Dina Boluarte He expressed today that he will work together with the Judiciary to combat corruption and stressed that this sector must enjoy independence and autonomy.
Boluarte, who participated in the inauguration of Janet Tello as the new head of the Judiciary, said that his management has “clean hands,” despite facing preliminary investigations.
As is known, she is investigated by the Prosecutor’s Office in cases such as the use of the presidential vehicle for the alleged escape of Vladimir Cerrón, the Rolex case, for the apparent abandonment of office to perform surgeries, and the alleged irregular contributions to the presidential campaign of Peru. “The fight against corruption is an unavoidable priority, they have a president who works with clean hands, without corruption (…) In this judicial year let us redouble our efforts to combat corruption from all fronts,” he expressed.
He also said that work must be done so that citizens stop having the perception that people with money and power enjoy impunity.
“Our government is determined to work hand in hand with the Judiciary, there should be no Peruvians who feel that their rights are not respected, united we will dispel the myth that justice is only for those who have money and power,” he expressed.
Finally, he highlighted the election of Janet Tello as head of the Judiciary. “Her appointment reaffirms the progress towards gender equality and that women are also in important positions,” she emphasized.
