Boluarte called on Shimabukuro, through a notarized letter, to rectify everything said in the ATV television program ‘It Happens Now’.
“I am writing to you, hereby, to express my most energetic rejection of the content and defamatory facts pointed out to the journalist Igor Malca, for the Television Program ‘It Happens Now’ on ATV, broadcast on October 2 of this year, where you stated that my person would have received gifts from the Peruvian citizen Andrés Hurtado, among them, the yellow suit that I wore at the inauguration ceremony of the position of Constitutional President of the Republic of Peru.”, the document reads. signed by the representative.
“In this sense, and because the statements that your person has indicated in the aforementioned television program are false, I request their rectification within 48 hours, otherwise, I will be forced to initiate the civil and/or criminal actions that correspond with “the purpose of defending my right to honor and good reputation, which our national legislation protects me, as a public official, but also, in the same way, as a citizen of our Republic,” continues the text presented in RPP Noticias.
As is known, Henry Shimabukuro revealed that President Dina Boluarte would have received several gifts from the now investigated Andrés Hurtado ‘Chibolín’, among which the yellow suit that the president wore on December 7, 2022, when she took office stands out. presidency of the Republic.
“The information we have is that they are not only clothes, but also some other objects that Mr. Hurtado has donated or given to Dina Boluarte,” he said on the Ocurre Ahora program.
