While the country is bleeding from violence imposed by extortionists and hitmen, President Dina Boluarte seems optimistic about the ‘results’ of the state of emergency.

“This situation is very complex, but we are going to win the battle”said the president.
With the same repetitive speech of the last few days, Boluarte invoked unity to fight organized crime: “Let’s be one against crime.”
“They want us divided. We are not going to allow it: we will move forward as we have done before,” he said.
Boluarte called on the corresponding judicial authorities to act effectively against criminals.
“We need to work with justice authorities so that criminals do not return to the streets,” said the president.
