The president Dina Boluarte ruled out that Jorge Nieto Montesinos will assume the Presidency of the Council of Ministers (PCM), after announcing that Pedro Angulo Arana would leave office. She also confirmed that there would be 3 changes that would be presented between Monday and Tuesday of this week.
“Will it be Jorge Nieto? No. Do we rule it out? Yes. Is it someone you have known for a long time? Yes. He or she, I have always been very democratic. We’ll see, I’ll appreciate it if you leave me a reserve margin, ”she declared to Punto Final.
In this sense, the president confirmed that on Tuesday the 20th the new name of the head of the PCM will be known. The new Minister of Culture and Education will also be sworn in, following the resignation of Jair Pérez Brañes and Patricia Correa from these positions respectively.
Faced with this resignation, Boluarte Zegarra only managed to thank the courage of the ministers who stayed with her: “I want to recognize the courage of the ministers who are accompanying me in the middle of this crisis. And that is what it takes, courage and bravery to face this difficult situation. Political and social. So, ministers, we move on.”
