Dina Boluarte is summoned to testify before the National Prosecutor’s Office on January 13, 2025, in relation to the alleged crime of abandonment of duties, in the context of the investigations against him. This happens after your intervention nasal surgery carried out between June and July 2023.
The Attorney General’s Office, through the Area of Illicit Enrichment and Constitutional Complaints, announced that the investigative statement of Dina Boluarte, which was going to take place on January 2, was rescheduled at the request of the person under investigation.

In a message to the Nation on December 12, the president defended her actions, in which she assured that her surgical intervention was for respiratory problems and not for aesthetic purposes. Furthermore, he agreed to renounce his right to medical confidentiality to prove his innocence.
During this speech, Boluarte affirmed that his health did not affect the exercise of his duties as president. In his speech, he also urged the National Prosecutor, Delia Espinoza, to carry out a thorough investigation into his case.

The president of the Republic, Dina Boluarte reportedly underwent cosmetic surgery in 2023which caused him not to participate in official activities for 12 days. On June 28 of last year, President Dina Boluarte participated in the decoration ceremony for officers and non-commissioned officers of the National Police of Peru, who had played an important role in the fight against crime.
