“The historical lessons left by terrorism added to the violent episodes against the defense of democracy at the end of the nineties, and most recently in November 2020they cannot be forgotten”, Boluarte shared through his official Twitter account.
“Let us reject the invocations of bloodshed by those who seek vacancy and exacerbate political polarization in the country,” added the also head of Ministry of Development and Social Inclusion (Midis).

The audio attributed to Montoya was collected this Wednesday 2 by the Uno newspaper on its front page. Boluarte placed the publication next to his text.
“I do believe that the vacancy is going to be complicated. It will not be like (Martín) Vizcarra’s, like (Pedro Pablo) Kuczynski’s, who resigned. This vacancy is going to have its quota of blood possibly”, can be heard on the recording.

Also, other congressmen who spoke on the matter are Isabel Cortez, from Together for Peru,, and Américo Gonza, from Peru Librewho criticized and rejected the expressions in the aforementioned audio.
“Congress cannot have fascist positions that speak of shedding blood for a coup to regain power and serve their pockets. Enough of these types of characters! They do not care about the popular will, except for the lives that may be lost in order to protect their interests,” Cortez also wrote via Twitter.
“At this time when we need peace, stability and security to move forward, we must be responsible not to generate hatred and less to slide the possibility of bloodshed,” said Gonza.
