The President of the Republic, Dina Boluartemet this afternoon with the regional governor of Ayacucho and provincial and district mayors of that region, who asked the president for the Executive’s support so that Ayacucho can overcome poverty and develop the roads and irrigation works that it requires.
“Just like you, we were chosen to work for the people, we believe in democracy, in the country’s institutions, that’s why we come to support you and tell you that we are with you and that we must work together for the country,” said Oscorima.
For her part, the president, who was accompanied by some State ministers, reported that one of her government’s priorities is to address the closure of water and drainage gaps in order to provide the population with basic services.

In this context, he urged the regional and local authorities of Ayacucho to put “all their efforts” into carrying out the works required by their region and assured that they will have the support of the Executive for this.
For now, Boluarte announced that the Ministry of Housing will send technical support for the approval of technical files and the inclusion of projects in the Con Punche Peru program will be arranged.
Meanwhile, the head of Housing, Hania Pérez de Cuellar, anticipated that at the end of February she will travel to Ayacucho for a working meeting with mayors.
