“It is not possible to commit a massacre without the support of the highest level authorities,” say lawyers from Aprodeh, IDL, Paz Esperanza, among others.
Complaint. President Dina Boluarte, the ministers of State and the high command of the Peruvian National Police (PNP) were criminally denounced for the deaths that occurred in the Apurímac region since December 7, 2022. According to a press release published by the Association for Human Rights (APRODEH), the complaint was filed last Monday, January 13, before the office of the National Prosecutor, Patricia Benavides.
Likewise, it was reported that this complaint contains “audiovisual, documentary material and testimonies from victims, which demonstrate the commission of criminal offenses” for which Dina Boluarte, the members of the ministerial cabinet and the high command of the PNP and against those “responsible” for the events that ended the lives of people in Apurímac.
This complaint was filed by Aprodeh, the Legal Defense Institute (IDL), Paz y Esperanza, and the DD volunteer legal team. HH, made up of independent lawyers.
