Presidents support the Government of Lula da Silva
Like Dina Boluartethe president of Argentina, Alberto Fernández, pointed out that “democracy is the only political system that guarantees freedoms and obliges us to respect the popular verdict.”
Similarly, the president of Ecuador, Guillermo Lasso, condemned the vandalism that threatens “the democratic order and citizen security in Brazil.”
With the same support, the Head of State of Uruguay, Luis Lacalle, also condemned the events against the Government of Lula da Silva.
The president of Mexico was also no stranger to the situation in Brazil and —through his Twitter account— Andrés Manuel López Obrador expressed his support for the recently sworn-in Lula. His chancellor did the same.
