Dina Boluarte gave a New Year’s message: “The Peruvian people are not violent, they are not aggressive, they are a peaceful people”

The President of the Republic, gave a message for through which he asked the entire population that the year 2023 should be a year of “social peace, dialogue, improve state action and political reforms.”

“The State is indebted to the country, above all, to the most vulnerable. People living in poverty deserve our full attention, that is our main commitment in our transitional government”, he started saying.

As is known, after the failed coup d’état by Pedro Castillo and his consequent vacancy, the vice president, Dina Boluarte, assumed the position of president of the Republic in the midst of a political crisis and demonstrations in various parts of our country, which left a balance of about 30 deaths and hundreds of wounded.
