Dina Boluarte celebrates 100 days without speaking to the press amid crisis and disapproval

In the midst of a citizen security crisis and with more than 90% disapproval according to surveys, President Dina Boluarte today reached 100 days without offering statements to the press.

The last intervention that the president had with the media was on July 8, through a press conference in which she addressed the results of her trip to China. The message lasted 1 hour, 29 minutes and 23 seconds.

According to a graphic on Channel N, President Dina Boluarte had four statements to the press during 2024. On February 19, she gave a press conference about the progress of her administration and it lasted 56 minutes and 29 seconds. In the month of March he gave two conferences related to the Rolex case, the first lasted 12 minutes and the second was on March 22 in which he spoke for 8 minutes.

On April 5, the president addressed the population for 13 minutes after the raid on her house by Harvey Colchado and the police; finally, the last conference was on July 8. The conferences were held in a limited format for the media, as they only allowed one question per journalist and cross-questioning was not accepted.
