The Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Leaders’ Summit 2024 is celebrated in Peru, bringing together international leaders, including the president of the United States, Joe Bidenand the president of China, Xi Jinpingwho will soon arrive in Peruvian lands. This Wednesday, November 13, the summit coincides with the call for a national strike, promoted by the transport union, in response to the wave of extortion they suffer and the questioned actions of the government of Dina Boluarte in the face of citizen insecurity.
