Boluarte, optimistic, began by pointing out that Peru had not stopped growing and that the country was moving forward on the right path.

The president, who thus breaks her prolonged silence, referred to the transport strike: “To them I say: my solidarity as a mother, sister, wife and daughter regarding this crime of extortion and criminality. My soul hurts for the loss of lives of family members. It is my pain, the pain that you feel,” he said, and then dedicated a few sentences in Quechua.
The president assured that she was doing everything possible to defeat the criminals who have unleashed terror.
“We will throw them out of the national territory”he stated, in reference to foreign criminals operating in the country.
In line with his ministers, Boluarte asserted that the strike has political mobilizations and asked the population not to be surprised.
“A strike or two, or those that could be organized within the constitutional framework, is not going to solve the problem,” he said, addressing the transporters.
