In her message for Patrias Fiestas, President Dina Boluarte announced the creation of the National Program for Economic Assistance by Orphanad “Kusiñan”, an initiative that seeks to provide hope and support from the State to girls, boys and adolescents who have lost their parents.
The president said that this new program will be implemented at the end of her government as a sample that the State can act with sensitivity and commitment to guarantee comprehensive care to this vulnerable population.
“Today I announce that at the end of my government we will create the National Program for Economic Assistance by Orphanad ‘Kusiñan’” ”, said.
Along the same lines, Boluarte reported that more than 71 thousand minors at risk or family overflow have received attention through the 24 special protection units, which have provided protection measures and promoted family integration processes.
The president stressed that the care and protection of childhood are a priority of its management.
Likewise, the care of 1,800 beneficiaries in 58 public residential reception centers was guaranteed, in addition to the supervision of 235 private centers, as part of the government’s commitment to the integral development of children. “Every girl, boy and adolescent deserves to grow with love, care and dignity,” said the head of state.
Another of the outstanding measures was the creation of the National Program “Grow safely”, which aims to provide specialized care to 40 thousand minors in a situation of abandonment or unprotection.
This program will articulate the services currently offered by the INABIF, the Special Protection Units, the Adoption Units and the Family Coasting Service.
Boluarte indicated that this initiative seeks a “integral modernization of the childhood protection system”, strengthening its capacity for response and ensuring more timely attention, dignified and focused on the well -being of each beneficiary.
