Dina Boluarte and Miguel Rodríguez Mackay were authorized to travel to Colombia

The Executive authorized the trips of the Vice President and Minister of Development and Social Inclusion, as well as Foreign Minister Miguel Ángel Rodríguez Mackay, to participate in the transfer of command of Gustavo Petro as the new president of Colombia.

The resolutions that were published in the legal regulations bulletins of El Peruano from Friday the 5th to Saturday the 6th of August detail that the official trip will be between the 6th and 8th of August.

In these days, the Government of Colombia will carry out the official agenda of activities in which Gustavo Petro will assume the position of president of that country, succeeding Iván Duque as head of state.

In the case of Foreign Minister Rodríguez Mackay, the Government published the authorization for his trip in an extraordinary bulletin this Saturday the 6th, hours after he assumed office within the modified Cabinet and chaired by Aníbal Torres.

While the original resolution that authorized Dina Boluarte’s trip was corrected, since Alejandro Salas, in charge of the office of the Ministry of Development and Social Inclusion while the head of the sector is absent, is no longer Minister of Culture as originally stated, but of Labor and Employment Promotion.

Boluarte and Rodríguez Mackay will travel on behalf of the Peruvian Government after the plenary session of Congress rejected by majority authorize the trip of President Pedro Castillo to participate in the inauguration ceremony of Gustavo Petro.
