He also asked Congressman Alex Paredes to withdraw his request for reconsideration of the denial of permission for the trip, thanking the parliamentarian for his concern about Peru’s absence at the event in the North American country.
“Now more than ever, it is time to continue working together for our country. To the Democratic congressmen who give us their vote of confidence putting the country first, we say thank you,” he stressed.
Prime Minister asks Congress to reconsider position
The President of the Council of Ministers, Gustavo Adrianzén, asked Congress on Wednesday to reconsider its decision not to approve President Dina Boluarte’s trip to the United States to participate in the United Nations (UN) General Assembly.

Parliamentarians argued that the country is going through a difficult time due to the forest fires, which have left at least 15 people dead.
