President Dina Boluarte, through her message to the nation, denounced that the deaths that have occurred in the south of the country are being produced with weapons that do not belong to the Peruvian National Police or the Armed Forces. Likewise, the president condemned the murder committed against animals and the fires caused in private properties in the south.
“Today we know that a type of firearms and ammunition would have entered the country through southern Peru. Those are the ones that could have caused the deaths of our compatriots. Let it be investigated,” Boluarte mentioned in relation to the deaths caused by the protests.
Along the same lines, the head of the Executive was blunt when saying that this type of projectiles are not used by “neither the National Police nor the Armed Forces.”
On the other hand, Dina Boluarte condemned the actions of the protesters that have caused the death of a police officer and the burning of the house of congressman Jorge Luis Flores Ancachi in Puno.
“To these people who generate hatred, who burned the houses of congressmen and who have murdered a police officer, hasn’t that been enough for them?” he said.
Finally, the president reproached the execution of several animals during the clashes in the south of the country in recent weeks.
“They have killed animals. What is the fault of the horses or dogs that have been mercilessly thrown from the bridges and cruelly murdered? Are we going back to the years of terrorist violence, where dogs were hung on light poles? ”, She sentenced.
