Santo Domingo, DR.- The General Directorate of Traffic Safety and Land Transport (Digesett) will carry out a large operation this weekend in the toll stations of the country, in order to monitor drivers who obstruct traffic lanes Quick Step.
The operation will be carried out with the aim of preventing drivers who do not have the Paso Rápido obstruct the exclusive lanes of the aforementioned service by going this way, to the detriment of those who have the service.
The operation will reinforce the presence of Digesett agents during this weekendwhich are days where there is high activity and traffic at the stations.
This will be the case at all toll booths in the country from this Saturday to Sunday, without eliminating the presence of agents on weekdays, as is normal.
On toll inspection
It is recalled that last December both institutions signed a agreement, by which they agreed improve feasibility and safety at toll stations, as well as in the vicinity of them and the inspection of drivers who obstruct the exclusive lane of Quick Step.
With the agreement, as of the aforementioned date, the Digesett started the oversight to those who obstruct traffic in the exclusive lanes for the Rapid Transit device for not having the dedicated device installed for these purposes.
Likewise, with the aforementioned agreement, another of the objectives was established, have control and surveillance on public roads, and ensure compliance with the provisions of Law 63-17 and its regulations throughout the national territory.
