SANTO DOMINGO.- An agent from the General Directorate of Traffic Safety and Land Transportation (Digesett) shot and wounded the director of the El Aguacate municipal district, in the municipality of Arenoso, in the middle of an incident that occurred this Monday, in front of the police station of that location.
Orlando Nolasco was transferred from the emergency room to a private health center in the municipality of Nagua, due to a bullet wound in the abdomen.
The community act reacted violently, burning the motorcycle of the Digesett agent, also destroying the blinds of the police station.
The transit agent who injured the district director was identified as Arturo Mendoza Javier, who was also transferred to Nagua, as a detainee.
