Diesel crisis: COB asks Arce to replace YPFB president and Minister Montaño, and calls for a national emergency meeting

The executive secretary of the Bolivian Workers’ Union (COB), Juan Carlos Huarachi, asked President Luis Arce Catacora to address the demand for heavy transport and to replace the Minister of Public Works, Edgar Montaño, as well as the president of Yacimientos Petrolíferos Fiscales Bolivianos (YPFB). In addition, the head of the COB invited the head of state to a national emergency meeting of workers, to address the diesel crisis.

Starting today, Wednesday, heavy transport is on an indefinite strike with roadblocks demanding the regularization of diesel supply and a solution to the dollar shortage.
