THE Former Sao Paulo councilman Wadih Jorge Mutran died on Tuesday (29) at the age of 89.
Born in the state capital in 1936, Mutran was a lawyer and exercised successive mandates between 1983 and 2016.
The former alderman joined the Municipal Housing Fund and participated in the Finance and Budget Commissions, Constitution, Justice and Participatory Legislation, and the Permanent Extraordinary Commission on Human Rights and Citizenship. He was a corregedor of the São Paulo City Council from 2003 to 2010.
Mutran was the author of more than 740 health, transportation, culture, education, leisure, safety and sports bills, of which 94 gave rise to municipal laws.
