Died on Thursday (11), in Brasilia, at the age of 54, the economist, public servant and militant of PSOL Roseli Faria. Black woman, Roseli was a reference in the formulation of public and budgetary policies and in the fight against racism. She faced colorectal cancer. 
The economist was a pioneer in heteroidentification committees and fought for the implementation of racial quota policy for entering universities and public careers.
The National Association of Public Policy and Government Management Specialists (ANESP), an entity of which Roseli was part, regretted his death and highlighted her work in the confrontation of PEC 32which deals with administrative reform in the years 2020 and 2021. ANESP pointed out that Roseli’s departure is “devastating”.
“Black woman, she has won decision -making spaces and has always acted guided by commitment to the poor, women and black people. Their presence will make a lot of foul on the fights that we still face,” says the entity.
Roseli was also a candidate for federal deputy in 2022 by PSOL-DF.
“As a black woman, he opened ways and will continue to inspire other women to occupy leadership spaces. Roseli was immense in everything he did, leaving a trajectory of courage, achievements, friendships and respect that will remain as legacy,” the party said.
Other entities such as the Feminist Center for Studies and Advisory (CFMEA) and the Institute of Socioeconomic Studies (INESC) also lamented Roseli’s death.
“Recognized for his courage, generosity and the struggle in defense of a budget guaranteeing rights and social justice, it became a reference in the cause of the public budget sensitive to gender and race,” says Inec, where Roseli participated as a member of the board’s board.
The funeral will be on the afternoon of Thursday (11), in Brasilia, in the Campo da Esperança Cemetery.
