But it is not recent, but from May 2017, when the error was displayed on the screen. The broadcast in December 2024 is a manipulation because the video was taken out of context

In a video taken from the screen of the state-owned Venezuelan Television (VTV), it was broadcast on WhatsApp and social networks showing the results of a survey carried out by the firm Hinterlaces, in which it is read that 79% of those consulted agree with a foreign intervention in Venezuela and the narrator is heard saying that: “that sheet could have some drawbacks, it is important that you check if this information is correct.” The video with the poll is authentic, but not recent. Therefore it is a manipulation.

At the end of the video it is observed that the material was taken from the Instagram account @notivenezuela24hrs, from the same date. There is the question from a poll by Hinterlaces – a consultancy related to Chavismo – about the approval of a foreign intervention. The graph shows that 79%, represented in blue, agree with an intervention, while 17%, in red, disagree and 4% do not know or do not answer.
The journalist who reads the information says: «This is the data that is being investigated through this study. 79%, we do not fully see the figure there, but more than 70%, now we see it clearly: 79% of the people surveyed in Venezuela do not agree… they disagree with, well, wait a moment, let’s review here . 79% is in blue. That sheet could have some drawbacks. We assume that we produce from the channel) check if this information is correct. But the video is interrupted and the end of the journalist’s comment cannot be heard.
Realizing that the result does not favor the government, the communicator tries to collect what was said, which is nothing more than what the sheet shows, to notice an alleged error.

Several accounts on Twitter, Instagram and TikTok echoed the material that is not current. He is more than seven years old.
The transmission was real. It happened, but on May 30, 2017. On that date, the newspaper 2001 headlined on its portal “VTV program presented ‘technical’ problem with Hinterlaces survey (+Video)”.
The publication identifies the anti-imperialist Venezuela program, whose host had differences with the production team for presenting the survey with results contrary to the government.
According to the verification made by Cazadores de Fake News, there was indeed a mistake in the presentation of the film by VTV.
In December 2024, just three weeks after the inauguration on January 10, 2025, the video circulated again in a manipulated manner, to try to show – beyond the mistake of the channel’s producers – that the population agrees today with foreign intervention. But the video was taken out of context and therefore is a manipulation.
