Dictatorship promotes “painting contest” on Sandino, as part of a “disgusting” strategy of indoctrination of children

Dictatorship promotes "painting contest" on Sandino, as part of a "disgusting" strategy of indoctrination of children

This week, the dictatorship of Daniel Ortega and Rosario Murillo, through the Managua Mayor’s Office, launched a painting contest aimed at children between five and nine years old, to represent the “life and work” of Augusto C. Sandino, the figure that was appropriated by the party that today governs Nicaragua in a dictatorial manner.

The contest, which they call “Sandino, inspiration of childhood,” according to information published by the official propaganda mediahas no other objective than to promote the figure of Sandino among children, to indoctrinate them.

Registration for the supposed contest will be open from May 9 to May 22. And the prizes for the first three places are three thousand, two thousand and one thousand córdobas respectively, for each of the first three places.

Pedro Pablo Castillo, director of culture and historical heritage of the Managua Mayor’s Office, when trying to justify the contest that involves children in a clearly propaganda activity in favor of the political party of the dictatorship, said that the objective is “to encourage creativity and Stimulate children’s imagination and artistic expression.

For a teacher who works at a school in Managua, it is “hateful and disgusting” that they are indoctrinating children in political matters, and even worse if they are not from Sandinista families.

Primary and secondary school children forced to pay tribute to the figure of Sandino.

The teacher, who for security reasons asked not to be identified, recalled that the indoctrination strategy promoted by the Sandinista regime occurs in all spheres of society and even more so in the educational system at all levels, from preschool to universities, where they force students to pay tribute to the Sandinista “heroes” and above all to pay obeisance to the figures of the dictators Ortega and Murillo.

“It is repugnant to see how in schools, in neighborhoods, in every public space, with workers paid by the State, Sandinista figures force one into one, and now it is hateful to see that not even small children are saved from the indoctrination. Imagine, how are you going to ask a five-year-old child to paint Sandino’s legacy? That’s hateful!” said the teacher, visibly upset.

The teacher recalled that many fathers and mothers who have their children in public schools or allow their children to participate in some activities at cultural houses are not Sandinistas, therefore, they reject that their young children are being indoctrinated, but they do not They can complain because they would become the target of harassment by Sandinista fanatics.

Another claim that the capital teacher makes is that this type of “contests” are promoted with greater emphasis in the most impoverished neighborhoods of all the departments of the country, and that means that, in an even more repugnant way, “the dictatorship takes advantage of the needs of Nicaraguan families” to offer them small amounts of money in exchange for allowing their children to be indoctrinated.
