american actor Leonardo Dicaprio highlighted this Thursday the task for the reintroduction of the jaguar in the Esteros del Iberáby publishing a post about the growth of the population of this feline through a work carried out by the Rewilding Argentina foundation.

Through a post on his personal Instagram account, DiCaprio acknowledged Rewilding’s “incredible job” of increasing the jaguar population in Iberá National Park, in the province of Corrientes, to 12 individuals.

“The jaguar population in Argentina’s Iberá Park has grown to 12 individuals with eThe recent birth of two puppies, thanks to the incredible work of Rewild’s close partner of @rewilding_argentina. Of the 12, four are pups born in the wild and eight are reintroduced adults.”

Recognized as a philanthropist of environmental conservation, DiCaprio detailed in his publication that “using the location points sent by the mother jaguar’s GPS collar, biologists were able to note her movements and discovered that she had not moved much for several weeks, indicating who had probably given birth”.
