The ruler inaugurated a center of the family care system (SAF), a dining room for “vulnerable” people. idyllic the day of its opening.
Havana, Cuba. -In recent days the ruler Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez inaugurated a new establishment of the family care system (SAF), dedicated to offering subsidized foods to people qualified by the regime as “vulnerable”.
In this case it was a SAF located in the Popular Rampa Council, of the Plaza de la Revolución municipality, in the province of Havana. But that SAF called “El Rampeño” is far from being like the vast majority of establishments of this type disseminated by the country.
This SAF, which will be attended by about 50 people selected, will offer breakfast – something non -existent in other SAF of the country – lunch and food, with the conditions created so that the diners ingest the food there, without having to load with pozuelos to eat in their homes, as it happens in the rest of the SAF. In addition, the Rampeño will provide other services to its users, such as medical care, cultural activities, entertainment games, and other attention to these elderly people.
On the other hand, and According to the newspaper Granma“Díaz-Canel toured the SAF inside. Everything looked impeccable, marked by the good taste and the sense of the functional.” In the end, the Castro heir asked those who will cook for the elderly who will eat in this SAF: “Do they cook well?”
Well, it is a question that should be asked later, when the routine of this establishment is not marked by the impact of an important visit. Because, of course, on the day of the inauguration, and with the presence of Díaz-Canel, everything got together so that the SAF marched to a thousand wonders. The insurance offer contained what was necessary for a balanced diet: the rice, the main course, the soup or stew, the food, the salads and the desserts. And all very well elaborated, with the appropriate seasoning to satisfy the most demanding of tastes.
But unfortunately, the faces of many other SAF differ from what the rampeño now exhibits. Local in poor constructive condition, offers in which the main course, food and salads are almost never present, constitute the daily life of these establishments. To the above is added the bad elaboration of food in these places. Dirty rice and males, not a pinch of salt at meals – something as if it were hospital diet; Salads, when there are, are badly washed, with the danger of getting sick of some intestinal parasite, and the oil seems missing.
Some former beneficiaries of the SAF with whom we have had the opportunity to talk, have told us that they abandoned that food option because there was no one to eat what they cooked there. Others, on the other hand, said they dedicated SAF food to their pets.
In any case, the authorities are aware that around this system many anomalies, such as corruption, illegalities, deviations and poor management of resources. To try to avoid these phenomena, it has transpired that SAFs are systematically controlled by trained and endorsed personnel for it. Auditors, inspectors, specialists, representatives of territorial governments and others designated by the supervision and control bodies are involved in the controls.
After so much control, we do not doubt that the Rampeño himself, when the echoes of the Diaz-Canel visit are hidden, as always happens in this country with the state institutions, also incorporated into the paths threw trilled by the neglect, the abuse of the clients and the bad service.
