Díaz-Canel tours Cuba to define the goals for 2023 with "anti-capitalist approach"

Díaz-Canel tours Cuba to define the goals for 2023 with "anti-capitalist approach"

A helicopter flying over the city surprised the residents of Sancti Spíritus on Thursday, who also observed numerous security agents. The aircraft was nothing more than an indication that the designated President of the Republic, Miguel Díaz-Canel, was visiting.

The president traveled to the capital of Spiritus after also passing through Ciego de Ávila, as the start of a tour of all the provinces. The objective: to discuss the economic, social and political tasks “to make the leap that is needed in this year 2023”.

“We live in different times and we need to do different things,” declared Prime Minister Manuel Marrero, who was a member of the presidential entourage. “We cannot enter 2023 by doing more of the same. We must set concrete goals, set indicators. And the center of everything here is the municipality.”

The Presidency indicated in a tweet that they are looking at a way to deliver land “with more agility” to producers and “to more than 30 territorial organizations.”

However, in Sancti Spíritus, according to collects the official press This Friday, Díaz-Canel asserted: “We have to assume an anti-capitalist approach to each problem, so that the logic of socialist emancipation always prevails.” To do this, he calls for “studying the problems and analyzing their contradictions” and recommends “listening to the experts and the people.”

Without further action than to discuss, the Presidency indicated in a tweet that they are looking for a way to deliver land “with more agility” to the producers and “to more than 30 organizations of the territory.”

In the same way, they pointed out the “responsibility of the companies with the municipalities” and the “need for greater productive responses based on the potentialities of the province.”

“We have to take on the challenge that the crisis that the country is experiencing can be overcome. We have to be aware that it is possible to do so – this crisis that depends on the blockade and the world situation – because we all have the capacity to contribute more to revolutionary transformation, studying the problems and analyzing the contradictions, comparing, taking into account the criteria of the population and experts,” stressed Díaz-Canel, in his usual willful tone.

Nothing very different from the content of his gloomy message to give the welcome to the new yearin which he insisted, as he did in a speech before the Council of Ministers, on the population’s effort to overcome the bottomless crisis: “We are summoned by the certainty that the creativity of our people is infinite.”
