Diario Libre, the media with the best reputation for the third year in a row

Free Diary continues to stand out as the newspaper that enjoys the greater reputation in the Dominican Republic, being the only media outlet that qualified within the Ranking General de Empresas 2025, carried out annually by the Spanish corporate monitoring company, Merco.

In this rankingthe newspaper occupies the place 40 between the 100 companies with better corporate reputation in the country, an assessment obtained after conducting a survey of 207 business executives and 238 experts who evaluated each company – among whom were included financial analysts, professors, heads of NGOs and journalists in the economic area – as well as 1,200 citizens surveyed by the firm.

Free Diary was also recognized within the 100 companies more responsible with environmentsociety and governance level (ESGfor its acronym in English), reaffirming that the company maintains outstanding indicators, both at the corporate level and with its relationship with society and the environment.

When breaking down the indicators, the newspaper occupies, in this edition, the place 31 within the 100 companies most responsible at an ethical and governance level, ranking 35th among the most responsible companies with environment and 45th place as the most responsible company in the internal, customer and social sphere.

With this assessment, Free Diary maintains its commitment as a media that bets on quality journalismto ethics and innovation, with solid principles that are reflected in its corporate management and in its relationship with the society that it keeps informed.

Puntacana Group

Puntacana Group –parent company of Free Diary– occupied, in this edition, the eighth position within the 100 companies with best reputation in the Dominican Republic, after ascending four steps compared to last year.

Furthermore, he occupied the top inside the tourism sectorthus consolidating its leadership and trajectory within the main economic activity of the Dominican Republic.

In it Global Ranking of Most Responsible Companies ESG, Puntacana Group improved two positions in this edition and was ranked seventh, being highlighted as the third most responsible company with the environment.

Likewise, the group was recognized as the eleventh company most responsible in the internal sphere, clients and society, and the twelfth most responsible company at an ethical and governance level in this edition.

The most reputable and most responsible companies

On this occasion, Banco Popular Dominicano (1st), Cervecería Nacional Dominicana (2nd) and Claro Dominicana (3rd) are the three companies that lead the ranking of the 100 companies with the best reputation in the Dominican Republic. They are followed by Banco BHD (4th), Banreservas (5th), Supermercados Bravo (6th), Grupo Ramos (7th), Grupo Puntacana (8th), Casa Brugal (9th) and Grupo Rica (10th).

While in the Global Ranking of Most Responsible ESG Companies, the three companies that lead it are Banco Popular Dominicano (1st), Banco BHD (2nd) and Cervecería Nacional Dominicana (3rd).

Claro Dominicana (4th), Banreservas (5th), Supermercados Bravo (6th), Grupo Puntacana (7th), Helados Bon – Grupo Nutresa (8th), Grupo Ramos (9th) and Nestlé Dominicana (10th) complete the top ten positions in the general ESG ranking.
