After the Visit of the Mission of the Inter -American Development Bank (IDB) to monitor the advances of the strategy of Implementation of the Modernization Support Program of the National Taxes and Customs Directorate (Dian), the final balance was satisfactory.
In this regard, Luis Eduardo Llinás Chica, general director in charge of the DIAN, said: “This has been an enriching space and of special importance for our purposes of digital transformation and governance, We present to the IDB an integral planning of the program and the road map for the three components that integrate it by adjusting the work schedules in the face of the loan extension until 2028; We also announce the creation of a strategic management that leads the process of executing and monitoring the strategic projects of digital transformation, so we will put Colombia at the forefront of the tax and customs authorities of the region”

In turn, Mónica Calijuri, specialist in Tax Administration and Chief of the Mission of the IDB, said: “We are accompanying this project a couple of years ago and this was a mission quite different from the others because we managed to perceive and see important advances in the program. We leave here very satisfied and the results of this mission will be fundamental for the evaluation of the project. It is important to guarantee the continuity of the processes in key aspects such as customs and collection traceability, technological developments governance and innovation and long -term sustainability for the project through technological transfer and knowledge”

Regarding technology, data and information security, the entity presented the data governance model and the functional prioritization proposal for Strategic Transformation Projects No. 012 Digital Public Information in Tax Matters, Customs, Exchange, inspection and administrative, which includes 37 modules for technological developments that respond to the need for technological update to improve missionary facilitation, control and collection work.

In addition, it was ratified that the acquisition of technological products will be carried out in a hybrid way, by purchase of systems COTS (Commercial Off the Shelf Software) and own developments that allow the entity to maintain governance on the data and solutions implemented.
