Dialogue Table: Facilitating Team of the Catholic Church postpones meeting scheduled for this Thursday

The Facilitating Team of the Catholic Church of the Dialogue Table for Panama, announced this Wednesday afternoon that the meeting scheduled for this Thursday, October 28, is being postponed.

According to the mediator entity of the past negotiations, the decision comes after the agreement established in the meeting of October 6 and 7 at the Technological University of Panama, which indicated the need to obtain a new mediator and the participation of the representatives of all social sectors, to continue towards the second phase.

In said agreement, the proposal was made to involve the School of Social Dialogue of the University of Panama, the University Ombudsman of the University of Panama, the Panamanian Episcopal Conference and the United Nations Organization.

Meanwhile, regarding the participation of representatives of all sectors of society in the second phase, it was a request from the various actors, in order to promote better negotiation between the participants.

The Catholic Church indicated that the date and place of opening of the second phase will be communicated to all parties.
