Upon completion of 105 days of strike at the Faculty of Architecture of the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM), the management reiterated to the group that it has taken the two main buildings their request to resume dialogue to return to in-person classes next semester, which should begin in February.
Through a statement, the authority called for “peaceful and responsible solutions.”
The group of students that maintains the strike refuses to dialogue because they consider that agreements reached in November and December 2025 have been violated.
Director Mónica Cejudo urged that, “in an exercise of university responsibility,” they meet to “reach joint, clear and lasting agreements.”
However, the student assembly affirms that the management has not shown commitment to addressing problems that affect mental health “through collective and systematic work.”
