In a press conference, Auza indicated that since the meeting was installed, the first point referring to the abrogation of norms was debated for about four hours.
“There is no clarity regarding the repeal of decree 0550, the repeal of the Health Emergency Law. We have explained the points by which this law has allowed the control of prices that at one time were an abuse for the population, It has prohibited the fact that people have to present a deposit to an intensive care unit before entering it,” he explained.
The Government has demanded the presentation of the “scientific technical support” to repeal the cited norms. “In this debate we have been in these almost four hours, the Medical College of Bolivia has requested an intermediate room,” said Auza.

Before the installation of the dialogue, the president of the Bolivian Medical Association, Luis Larrea, remarked that the position of the organization is based on the demands of the population.
“We have accepted the postponement of the dialogue at this time, the entire National Council is present and we hope there will be a favorable response for the population, because we are coming to fight for the population,” he said at the time he arrived at the Ministry of Education facilities. For his part, Minister Auza stated that “all the objectives of this table must be aimed at satisfaction, to protect the health and well-being of the Bolivian people.”
At the beginning of the meeting, the government authority also maintained that the 14 points of the request sheet of the Medical College will be analyzed. However, at the press conference he pointed out that the doctors proposed a new statement.
The doctors ask for the repeal of the Health Emergency Law, the payment of the salaries of the doctors who worked during the pandemic, the provision of items on a national scale, the institutionalization of the charges, better conditions for hospital centers and security stability. social, among other demands.
Auza hopes that the dialogue table will be reinstated shortly.
