DGII gives extension to pay August taxes for Fiona

The General Directorate of Internal Taxes (DGII) reported this Monday that it has given a three-day extension without penalties of the filing deadline and tax payments corresponding to the balance of the month of August due to the passage of the hurricane fiona by national territory.

The information was posted on the Twitter of the DGII.

The extension will be until Wednesday, September 21, the deadline for the presentation and payment of the Tax on the Transfer of Industrialized Goods and Services (ITBIS) corresponding to the period of August 2022.

The Executive Power decreed this Monday as a non-working day due to the passage of the hurricane fiona over the Dominican Republic, a phenomenon that has left damage in the eastern region.

Fiona entered the country through the Eastern region at 3:30 in the morning on Monday and began to leave after 2:00 in the afternoon.
