Santo Domingo.- The General Directorate of Internal Taxes (DGII) announces that next Tuesday, October 21, 2025, the renewal period for the Vehicle Circulation Tax begins (tag) 2025-2026, for 2,086,756 capable vehicles and an estimated collection of three thousand four hundred thirty-three million eight hundred six thousand.
The values of the Tax Vehicular Circulation (mark) remain unchanged in relation to the previous period with RD$1,500.00 for vehicles manufactured up to the year 2020 and RD$3,000.00 for vehicles manufactured in 2021, inclusive, onwards.tea.

Users may renew electronically through the website www.dgii.gov.do and the application DGII mobile from the beginning of the period until Sunday, January 18, 2026.
47 financial entities will also be available, with 856 branches distributed throughout the national geography; as well as in the collections of the DGII of Villa Vásquez, Montecristi province, and Sánchez, Samaná province, until Saturday, January 31, 2026.
To carry out the renewal in any of the available entities, as well as to receive orders placed via the web or mobile App, it is essential to have a photocopy of the license plate of the vehicle to be renewed, updated, legible and in good condition.
The collecting entity explained that the sanctions maintain the amounts corresponding to the sanctions for non-renewal during the established period:
RD$2,000.00 (surcharge) to vehicles that do not renew before January 31, 2026.
RD$2,100.00 to vehicles that did not renew the 2024-2025 tag (RD$2,000.00 as a penalty for non-renewal + RD$100.00 by concept of administrative cessation).
RD$ 3,100.00 for vehicles that were not renewed in the 2023-2024 label and previous years (RD$3,000.00 for the penalty for non-renewal + RD$100.00 for the administrative cessation).
Invites all taxpayers to renew on time, in order not to fail to comply with the established deadlines and avoid sanctions.
