Officials of the General Directorate of Military Counterintelligence (DGCIM) arrested around 5:00 in the morning of this Sunday, April 13, the parents of Lieutenant José Ángel Rodríguez Araña in his residence in the Barinas state.
Family members are unaware of the whereabouts of Neida Coromoto Araña Díaz, 53 years old, and José Isabel Rodríguez, 71. The reason for the apprehension is also ignored.
A direct relative of Lieutenant Rodríguez Araña told SuchWhich That at the time of detention the officials of the DGCIM also took a five -year -old boy, grandson of the couple, but indicated that hours later he was returned to an aunt’s house.
“We do not know anything about them, only that it was the DGCIM in a white urine (vehicle),” said the person, who for security reasons, requested the shelter of his identity.
The minor is the son of Genesis Grisbely Rodríguez Arañ involved, along with two more relatives, in “terrorist plans”.
The other relatives of Rodríguez Spider arrested are Gilbert (31 years old) and Daniela Spider (34 years old), military cousins. Since its imprisonment, the family ignores the whereabouts of these people and their state of health.

José Ángel Rodríguez Araña was part of the “The Sword of God” movement in 2017, which sought to overthrow Nicolás Maduro. He was arrested and was held in Ramo Verde, where he shared a cell with the first lieutenant Ronald Ojeda, killed in February 2024 in Chile, where he had political asylum.
Lieutenant Rodríguez Araña was also part of Operation Aurora, a military action carried out on December 22, 2019, in the municipality of La Gran Sabana of the Bolívar state, where a group of pemons, led by officials of the “The Sword of God” movement assaulted the facilities of the Mariano Montilla Battalion.
