In the Vigíl operation, he assured that of the 49 detainees, 7 were of Colombian nationality and several had criminal records.
The 49 people detained this morning during the “Costa” operation, carried out by the National Aeronaval Service (SENAN), the National Police and the Public Ministry (Drug Prosecutor’s Office) were released after no drugs or any other illicit activity was found inside the residence located in Punta Prieta, Coronado.
During the morning of today, the deputy commissioner of SENAN, Rubén Vigíl announced the arrest of 49 people in an operation, after receiving “intelligence” information about the suspicious movement of people in this residence.
In the Vigíl operation, he assured that of the 49 detainees, 7 were of Colombian nationality and several had criminal records.
But this afternoon the lawyer Kadir Assim revealed that the 49 detainees were released after the authorities found that there were no drugs or anything illegal inside the residence since according to him these people were celebrating the bachelor party of one of them.
“They were all men and they were celebrating a bachelor party,” he said, assuring that the police entered the residence and some of the gentlemen were injured (he did not detail what type of injuries), he also criticized the prosecutor who, in his opinion, was made of turning a blind eye to what he considers the violation of the rights of his clients.
