One of those allegedly involved in the murder of the Bolivarian National Police official Deiker Johandri Rodríguez was captured by members of the National Police during an operation carried out in the El Onoto neighborhood, in Caricuao.
The murder of official Rodríguez, who was assigned to the Strategic Intelligence Division of the PNB, occurred on January 16, when he was carrying out an intelligence operation against a gang dedicated to drug trafficking, in an area of Caricuao, and he was shot in the face.
This Sunday, National Police officials managed to capture, during intelligence work, in the UD2 of Caricuao, Yibran Pérez, alias “El Pirulo”, who was allegedly involved in the murder of the police officer.
Yibran belonged to the La Piscina gang, dedicated to selling drugs in the area.
The troops continue searching for other members of the gang who would be involved in the homicide of the official.
Deiker Rodríguez was carrying out an undercover action against an alleged gang dedicated to drug trafficking in the area.
Yibran Pérez “El Pirulo” was presented to court and the case was left in the hands of the Public Ministry.
Before the corresponding control court of the metropolitan area of Caracas, the Prosecutor’s Office charged the detainee with the crimes of intentional homicide qualified with futile and ignoble motives.
