The survey was released just after the incident that occurred on route P-72, which links the communes of Cañete and Tirúa, where a confrontation between Carabineros personnel and the Navy with Mapuche community members ended with one death and three people injured. The result of the survey coincides with what various sectors have demanded, especially the opposition and conventional sectors with reserved seats, which have demanded to lift the militarization of the Mapuche area.
