Federal deputy Shamir Fernández resigned from the PRI, after 25 years of militancy, considering that he has deviated from his ideals, principles and values. Although in political circles it is affirmed that the legislator is seeking Morena’s candidacy for mayor of Torreón, he assured that he does not aspire to any nomination.
Fernández pointed out that he does not share the decisions that the national leadership of the tricolor under Alejandro Moreno has made and the direction he is taking, since he puts the very personal interests of a few above the militancy. They make the mistake of not listening to the leadership that demands a real change to put aside impositions and simulations that have caused internal division and loss of citizen confidence.
The federal deputy said that he does not aspire to any candidacy in the next electoral processes and does not have a proposal from any party to join him. He assured that his trajectory has always been to help people and if any political force has those characteristics, he will adhere to it. For now, he declared himself an independent deputy.
