“Thank you very much dearest Pope Francis for the love you have for our nation,” wrote the Colorado deputy, Raúl Latorre, who is in Rome to participate in the Consistory in which Monsignor Adalberto Martínez will be invested as the first Paraguayan cardinal.
Latorre added that “because of your commitment, we renew our commitment to fight for a more just, fraternal Paraguay and with a peace that transcends conflicts and represents the protection of the most vulnerable.”
It should be remembered that this Saturday at 10:00 Paraguayan time (4:00 p.m. local time) the Ordinary Public Consistory will be held for the creation of 21 new cardinals in Saint Peter’s Basilica, in the Vatican.
During this ceremony, Pope Francis will impose the cap and cardinal’s ring on Monsignor Adalberto Martínez, current Archbishop of Asunción, who will thus become the first cardinal of our country.
The entrance Deputy thanks the Pope for his love for Paraguay was first published in diary TODAY.
