Likewise, he questioned the effectiveness of the recently promulgated Naín-Retamal Law but highlighted the Executive’s project that seeks to regulate the use of force for the personnel of the Public Order and Security Forces. In the opinion of Congresswoman Schneider, “this is an important dimension in the short term, but let’s not forget that drug trafficking takes over neighborhoods not only because of their presence, but also because of their labor and economic networks, since the State is not present “.
According to Schneider, in sectors with high levels of crime, “social services and education do not arrive, and it seems that all this debate is overshadowed by the measures that respond to the situation.” The pro-government deputy also expressed her concern about the high rate of disapproval of Congress, which according to the survey Citizen Pulse is greater than 70%. “When the institutions have so little support, it creates a political crisis and the institutions don’t arrive on time,” Schneider said, blaming the opposition for withdrawing from the security table after last year’s presidential pardons.
“The debate on security is an excellent example of this. The opposition seeks to promote gimmicky projects and pyrotechnics, but when is security seriously addressed?
