Deputy Saúl Ortega, member of ParlaSur and of the foreign policy commission of the National Assembly, assured that the visit of the President of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, means a “reciprocal visit”, due to the recent tour of the head of state , Nicolás Maduro for the Eurasian country.
He stressed, during an interview on the program Al Aire, broadcast by Venezolana de Televisión, that the cooperative relations between the two countries currently have greater significance because the world is committed to a new “fairer and more empathetic” international system, and who adhere to the project of a multipolar world, “without empire, without hegemony”.
Ortega added that this visit by the Turkish president ratifies in the international sphere the thesis that Venezuela is not alone, “they wanted to isolate Venezuela, we are seeing that this is not possible, Venezuela is active with its international policy of good relations, the mechanisms of solidarity, economic complementarity and that peace policy advanced by the President of the Republic Nicolás Maduro”
He also added that President Erdoğan’s tour of Venezuela and Latin America takes on greater relief, because it shows how “Latin America ceased to be the backyard of the United States and the policy of the Lima cartel was also defeated.”
